Muthuswamy Diskhitar Festival, 26th October, 2008
Conducted at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad

A programme conducted was on 26th October, 2008 exclusively in the memory of Sri Muttuswamy Deekshitair, one of the musical legends. A number of young artists have been provided an opportunity to perform and the artists have been paid honorarium. The main artists and the accompanying artists were all young with good potential and they have been selected by Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad to ensure that the selection was done without any bias and the artists so selected possessed high level of knowledge and skills with potential to grow in to sound artists in Carnatic music.
